Define your need, then prepare the selection brief

For new equipment, replacement bags and cartridges, or an existing model: prepare the information for your task, then review filtration, specifications and installation.

What do you need to work on?

Choose a task to see the information to prepare and where to go next.

No model selected yet? Start with the filtration duty and site conditions.

Prepare the operating and installation details

  • Fluid, composition, temperature and viscosity; list process and cleaning fluids separately.
  • Contaminants, solids loading and filtration goal; identify the rating basis.
  • Target flow, continuous or batch operation, operating pressure and allowable differential pressure.
  • Piping sketch or site photographs, connection orientation, service clearance and maintenance method.

Start with the information you have. A model, photographs or drawings can help us review your requirements.

New equipment

Ten operating inputs in four groups

Record the actual conditions and open questions. Include models, photographs or drawings, and complete missing details together.

Fluid and filtration goal

  • Fluid and major composition
  • Contaminant form, size and solids loading
  • Target rating and basis: nominal, absolute, Beta Ratio or experience

Throughput and operating conditions

  • Flow, unit and continuous or intermittent operation
  • Operating pressure and allowable differential pressure
  • Temperature, viscosity and solids content

Materials and application requirements

  • Corrosive, solvent, oxidative, chloride or other chemical risks
  • Food, pharmaceutical, sanitary, electronics or cleanliness requirements

Installation and maintenance

  • Material, connections, installation space and flow orientation
  • Existing filtration, current issues, cleaning, backwash or online-maintenance needs

From the brief to confirmed specifications

Narrow the product direction step by step, then review the model against operating conditions and installation drawings.

  1. Define the fluid and filtration duty
  2. Characterize contaminants and target rating
  3. Set flow, temperature, pressure and differential-pressure limits
  4. Check materials, connections, space and maintenance
  5. Build a candidate configuration and model structure
  6. Finalize against approved technical documents

Understanding filter model codesExpand when reviewing an existing code or its fields

Identify the family before interpreting its fields. Letters and numbers are series-specific. Each product page retains its own model guidance.

HOUSING

Filter housings

Series + core digits + material + pressure field + connection + nozzle layout

Identify bag or cartridge housing first, then read quantity/size or quantity/length.

CARTRIDGE

Filter cartridges

Series or media + target rating + length + end fitting + seal

Application, membrane, end and seal codes are series-specific.

FILTER BAG

Filter bags

Media prefix + target rating + ring + bag size + construction or additional code

Bag size does not replace actual dimensions, ring, media construction or differential-pressure review.

FIELD-BY-FIELD EXAMPLE

BV12-304-10-DN50-2

This example explains the code structure; it is not a recommended configuration.

BVBase bag-filter housing series
121 bag, Size 2
304304-series stainless-steel identifier
10Pressure-grade field; unit and design/working pressure require order review
DN50Nominal connection size
2Layout 2: side inlet, vertical bottom outlet

From model code to installation drawing

After choosing a series, review wetted materials, element count, connection orientation and service clearance. Existing piping or equipment drawings help review the installation.
