Y-type pipeline strainers
A cleanable screen captures pipeline debris; selection considers flow, pressure drop and orientation.
YX / YFAI-enhanced reference views of similar equipment. Actual configuration follows the agreed specification.
Product overview
A cleanable screen captures pipeline debris; selection considers flow, pressure drop and orientation.

- YX / YF
- Selection priorities
- Duty, filtration elements, dimensions, materials, interfaces and service conditions
Working principle
Liquid passes through a screen or basket that retains solid debris. Opening, effective area, solids load and flow influence pressure loss and the service interval.
Construction & flow path
A removable screen sits inside the Y-shaped body. Review branch orientation and screen-removal access with the site piping.
Applications & filtration duty
For pipeline-debris capture and protection of pumps, valves or other downstream equipment. Select the opening around downstream particle tolerance.
Technical parameters
Use these specifications for selection. Materials, dimensions and operating conditions follow the selected model and agreed specification.
Selection information
- Fluid & viscosity
- Operating flow (m³/h)
- Operating / design pressure (MPa)
- Operating / design temperature (°C)
- Effective filtration area (m²)
- Differential pressure & service trigger (MPa)
- Dimensions & service clearance (mm)

Information to prepare for an inquiry
Use this family’s selection priorities to share available operating conditions, equipment information or drawings.
- Confirm fluid, mounting orientation and flow direction.
- Check opening, effective area and acceptable pressure loss.
- Describe debris loading and shutdown access for cleaning.
Operation & maintenance
Before opening, replacing elements or disassembly, stop and isolate under the equipment procedure, depressurize, drain and confirm zero pressure. Clean the screen around pressure drop after isolation and depressurization. Inspect damage and seat sealing and maintain removal clearance.
Common operating inputs
- Fluid and major composition
- Target flow and operating pattern
- Operating temperature and pressure
- Contaminant form and target rating
- Material, connection and space constraints
- Maintenance frequency and existing equipment
