Working principle
CMD uses long PP fibers to form a depth capture path, selected around contaminant loading and liquid throughput.
Construction & flow path
The long-fiber element fits a cartridge housing through the selected ends and seals. Confirm ordering against CMD fields without mixing codes from other series.
Applications & filtration duty
A prefiltration direction for balancing liquid flow and solids loading. Actual service intervals depend on particle distribution and loading.
Technical parameters
Use these specifications for selection. Materials, dimensions and operating conditions follow the selected model and agreed specification.
Materials & construction
- Filter media
Polypropylene (PP)
- Construction & fabrication
PP melt-blown body with a long-fiber surface treatment and a more open outer layer.
- Seal-material codes
S=silicone; V=fluoroelastomer; VT=PTFE-encapsulated; R=EPDM; Z=NBR
Filtration specifications
- Filtration ratings
1 / 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 μm
- Nominal length
10 / 20 / 30 / 40 in
- Outside diameter
62 mm
- Inside diameter
30 mm
Operation & maintenance
- Operating temperature
<90 °C
- Maximum element differential pressure
5 bar; review the applicable temperature and fluid for the selected cartridge.
Connections & installation
- End-fitting codes
A=222 single-open-end with solid end cap; B=222 single-open-end with spear end; C=226 single-open-end with spear end; D=double-open-end with PP gasket; N=no gasket
Configuration & supply scope
- Ordering configuration
Provide the complete CMD model, rating, length, end fitting and seal requirements to check the ordering configuration.
Model and configuration notes
Series or media + target rating + length + end fitting + sealLength, end and seal codes are interpreted within the relevant series; the same letter may mean different things in another family.

Information to prepare for an inquiry
Use this family’s selection priorities to share available operating conditions, equipment information or drawings.
- Specify continuous, batch or recirculating service and batch volume.
- Define unwanted contaminants and useful constituents to retain.
- Confirm CMD ends, length and seals without reusing CMA ordering examples.
Operation & maintenance
Track the rate of pressure-drop increase and cumulative throughput. Check seals and possible bypass after replacement.
Common operating inputs
- Fluid and major composition
- Target flow and operating pattern
- Operating temperature and pressure
- Contaminant form and target rating
- Material, connection and space constraints
