Selection priorities
Media, rating basis, actual dimensions, ring, construction, temperature and chemical compatibility

Working principle

BPOA's multilayer PP capillary fibers are a direction for particle retention and oil uptake. Review these duties separately rather than selecting only by rating.

Construction & flow path

The bag, ring and housing support basket must fit together. A multilayer bag is not by itself an oil-water separation system.

Applications & filtration duty

A direction for managing entrained oil and particles in aqueous liquids. Emulsification, oil type and loading affect selection; the name does not promise an oil-removal rate.

Technical parameters

Use these specifications for selection. Materials, dimensions and operating conditions follow the selected model and agreed specification.

Materials & construction

Filter media

Polypropylene capillary fiber

Construction & fabrication

Multilayer media comprising a prefiltration layer, a microporous filtration layer and an outer fiber-retention layer.

Operation & maintenance

Operating temperature

92 °C

Maximum element differential pressure

Bag differential-pressure reference: 1.75 bar; review the fluid, temperature and support basket for the application.

Recommended replacement differential pressure

1.03 bar; review the actual replacement trigger for the duty.

Connections & installation

Ring-style codes

G=inward-turned plastic ring; F=outward-turned plastic ring; S=steel ring; SS=stainless steel ring. Confirm the plastic material for the actual version.

Configuration & supply scope

Construction

Sewn or thermally welded construction; specify the construction and check the complete ordering suffix.

Model and configuration notes

BPOA + rating + ring + bag size + construction or additional code

For orders or replacements, provide the full bag model, dimensions, ring and construction. Check actual dimensions when comparing bag sizes across suppliers.

Information to prepare for an inquiry

Use this family’s selection priorities to share available operating conditions, equipment information or drawings.

  • Define particle removal, free-oil reduction or emulsified-oil treatment.
  • Provide oil type, concentration, temperature and throughput.
  • Confirm the fit of bag, ring and support basket.

Operation & maintenance

Monitor pressure drop, treated-liquid condition and oil saturation. Normal pressure drop alone does not prove remaining oil-uptake capacity.

Common operating inputs
  • Fluid and major composition
  • Target flow and operating pattern
  • Operating temperature and pressure
  • Contaminant form and target rating
  • Material, connection and space constraints
  • Maintenance frequency and existing equipment
