Working principle

Polypropylene felt bags retain liquid-borne particles in a PP fiber layer and can be selected around a prefiltration duty.

Construction & flow path

The PP bag body, ring and seams form an element supported by the housing basket. Bag differential-pressure limits are separate from housing pressure ratings.

Applications & filtration duty

A selection direction for particle prefiltration of water, cleaning liquids and general process fluids, with media and rating reviewed for the actual liquid.

Technical parameters

Use these specifications for selection. Materials, dimensions and operating conditions follow the selected model and agreed specification.

Operation & maintenance

Media temperature reference

PP media temperature reference: ≤92 °C. Review ring, construction and fluid to determine the complete bag temperature limit.

Maximum element differential pressure

Bag differential-pressure reference: 1.75 bar; review the fluid, temperature and support basket for the application.

Recommended replacement differential pressure

1.03 bar; review the actual replacement trigger for the duty.

Connections & installation

Ring-style codes

G=inward-turned plastic ring; F=outward-turned plastic ring; S=steel ring; SS=stainless steel ring. Confirm the plastic material for the actual version.

Configuration & supply scope

Fabrication codes

Blank=stitched; WE=heat-welded.

Model and configuration notes

Information to prepare for an inquiry

Use this family’s selection priorities to share available operating conditions, equipment information or drawings.

  • Confirm fluid composition, temperature and PP compatibility.
  • Provide normal/peak flow and expected solids load.
  • Specify bag size, ring and sewn or welded construction.

Operation & maintenance

Record pressure drop and bag-change intervals. Clean the basket and ring seat during changes to avoid carrying retained debris to the clean side.

Common operating inputs
  • Fluid and major composition
  • Target flow and operating pattern
  • Operating temperature and pressure
  • Contaminant form and target rating
