- Selection priorities
- Fluid compatibility, body material, temperature, pressure, connections, installation space and maintenance
Working principle
MBV places multiple bags in one housing with parallel flow, increasing filtration area for larger processing duties.
Construction & flow path
Multiple bag seats, baskets and a sealed cover form the body. Bag count, cover lifting and port layout affect site operation.
Applications & filtration duty
For larger flow or solids loading. Size bag count around viscosity, rating and acceptable pressure loss.
Technical parameters
Use these specifications for selection. Materials, dimensions and operating conditions follow the selected model and agreed specification.
Materials & construction
- Body materials
Carbon steel (CS) / 304 / 316 stainless steel.
- Cover lifting and maintenance
Manual, pneumatic, spring-assisted or hydraulic cover lifting can be specified by model; confirm quick-opening configuration and safety interlocks for each model.
- Seal construction and selection
General seal construction; confirm the sealing ring against chemical compatibility, temperature and bag-ring fit.
Filtration specifications
- Bag quantity
1–24 bags; confirm the quantity against the model.
- Compatible bag sizes
Size 1 or Size 2; the last digit denotes bag size and the preceding digits denote quantity.
Operation & maintenance
- Pressure-grade options
Check pressure class, design pressure and operating pressure separately for the specific model and service temperature.
Connections & installation
- Connection options
NPT / BSP / flange / quick connections; confirm size and standard against the specific model.
Configuration & supply scope
- Ordering example and fields
MBV-62-304-10-DN80-3: six Size 2 bags / 304 / pressure-grade code 10 / DN80 / layout 3.
- Nozzle layouts
Layouts 1–15; layout 3 is side-in / lower-side-out. Layouts 12–15 include a return pipe; confirm direction from the drawing.
- Custom configuration
Custom requests may cover bag quantity, body material, connections, nozzle layout, cover lifting and seals; supply scope follows the approved drawing.
Selection information
- Operating temperature, rated flow, dimensions and manufacturing-standard documents

Information to prepare for an inquiry
Use this family’s selection priorities to share available operating conditions, equipment information or drawings.
- Determine bag count from flow, viscosity and solids load.
- Check cover-lift, basket-removal and service space.
- Align media, rating and sealing across the bags.
Operation & maintenance
Before opening, replacing elements or disassembly, stop and isolate under the equipment procedure, depressurize, drain and confirm zero pressure. Inspect each bag and seat during service and follow a consistent change plan. Do not mix unapproved sizes, ratings or rings.
Common operating inputs
- Fluid and major composition
- Target flow and operating pattern
- Operating temperature and pressure
- Contaminant form and target rating
- Material, connection and space constraints
